The Home Business Accelerator: 'The Phone Call'

Getting close to christmas, you feel the excitement? Maybe you don't even celebrate this time of year. I'm not really in the festive spirit yet but I think it's mainly due to the weather, pouring rain, windy, grey skies.

Proper miserable!

Similar to my MLM days, I had a reason to be excited but when I looked how I was going to reach my £10,000/month goal, it looked pretty bleek.

I would clean the house after cleaning the house rather than make phone calls.

Even though I KNEW it was the business end.

Phonecalls make the money but I still hated it. Sad, considering I got to a point where I was getting some decent leads. All that work's a complete waste if you can't see it through and close the sale.

Even when I hopped online and started generating massive amounts of leads and having people call me, I STILL hated it.

Thankfully, I was making sales without the phone.

The people calling me may have turned into sales...

But I wasn't depending on them.

Twas like a dream come true.

Speaking with someone AFTER they have become a customer versus you trying to close them, whilst getting all nervous and losing the plot, was a massive game changer for me.

I remember starting up a small test campaign on Facebook. Started it on the Friday, on the saturday I hopped on the train to down to London. On that 6 hr journey, I had 5 email notifications of people signing up into my business and led to $48,000...

And not a phone call in sight sweat pea.

Calling up prospects is kind of like Marmite though, you either love it or hate it.

I know some people who are freekin monsters on ze phone, but they have barriers too.

They can't get ENOUGH people to speak to. Most of their time is spend speaking to actual morons.

Complete waste of time.
